Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall: Josea Carreras' Concert in September

On 23 September Jose Carreras will hold a concert at the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall, accompanied by the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra and soprano Martina Zadro with whom he has already performed.

Carreras is world famous as a musician of an excellent technique and deeply felt and expressed emotions. He is also known for his interpretation of parts in operas by Verdi and Puccini. Extremely popular worldwide, he played around 60 parts on stages and in studios.

At his concert in Zagreb, he will perform some of his most famous arias and songs. He sold the total of more than 85 million records, so he is among the most commercially successful opera singers of all times.

Jose Carreras was the initiator of the Three tenors. At the opening ceremony of the World Football Championship in Italy in 1990, he sang with his friends Placido Domingo and Luciano Pavarotti. The intention was to just hold one concert at that occasion, but the trio was very successful, and these famous singers had another 30 performances. They still hold the record in sales in the genre of classical music.

David Giménez, who is famous for his understanding of voice as well as excellent cooperation with Jose Carreras, will be the conductor at the September concert in Zagreb. Therefore, it is certain that this music tandem together with the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra and Croatian soprano Martina Zadro will provide an unforgettable experience to the audience in Zagreb.
