The 32nd edition of Zagreb Marathon, to take place on 13 October, will encompass a half marathon, a marathon, a 10K and a relay race, preceded by a kids’ race on 12 October.
A half marathon race equals 21 kilometres, and a marathon runner will cover twice the distance, in total 42 kilometres. Also, there is a possibility to participate in a four-member relay race, regardless of the runners’ gender.
The Zagreb Marathon is very renowned and popular among athletes. Many runners, in addition to excellent organisation, emphasise the loud support of fans in the city streets as a special attraction. The races take place in the streets of the city centre, and the start and the finish line are located in the main Ban Josip Jelačić Square. One day before the adults, children will participate in what is always an attractive and cheerful Kids’ race. Little runners are eligible from kindergarten to elementary school, ending with the sixth grade.
Registrations for the Zagreb Marathon are open until 1 October for all the races, apart from the kid’s race, for which there is no need to register beforehand.
This race is part of the World Marathon Majors Age Group qualifications, providing runners with the opportunity to train and prepare to participate in one of the six largest and most prestigious world marathons.
