Without exception, visitors who come to Zagreb emphasize their satisfaction with its gastronomic offer, whether regarding top quality and service provided by restaurants or taverns, diner, patisseries and fast-food restaurants. In future it will be much easier to explore rich gastronomic offer of Zagreb and its surroundings owing to the guide Gault&Millau Croatia – Zagreb and the surroundings. It contains reviews of a hundred restaurants, taverns, diners, POP bars and patisseries, which will make it easier for visitors to find a venue in line with their desires. The guide launch was also a perfect occasion to honour eleven best chefs in Zagreb.
The Croatian version of the guide was published by Gault&Millau at the initiative of the Zagreb Tourist Board and in cooperation with the Zagreb County Tourist Board. At the guide launch, director of the Zagreb Tourist Board Martina Bienenfeld said: “I am pleased that this esteemed world gastro guide with an almost sixty-year- long tradition was published at the initiative of the Zagreb Tourist Board. I would like to congratulate Zagreb’s caterers who became part of the first edition of the Zagreb guide, and deservedly so. This adds value to the gastro offer of our city. I would also like to congratulate the eleven awarded chefs. It is my belief that Gault&Millau reviews and recognitions will be an incentive for them to continue striving to excellence in creating a comprehensive gastro experience. This type of experience is one of the most important reasons why visitors come to Zagreb and its surroundings and the reason to choose a particular restaurant”.
Gault&Millau guide is one of the two most relevant gastro guides in the world. It was founded in 1965 in France and today it is published in around twenty countries. Its recognisable yellow labels are a recommendation to visitors indicating that a venue offers a high-quality food and service. These recommendations are all the more trusted because they come from independent and reliable reviews of anonymous agents.
In addition to the online version, a printed version of the first global gastro guide Gault&Millau Croatia – Zagreb and the surroundings is also available to the public at Tisak points of sale.
