The Church of Mother of God of Sljeme - Queen of Croats

A filial church of the church of St. Teresa of Avila, the parish and the church of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Remete, an advocate of Croatians, are located in the north of Zagreb, among the rolling hills of the wooded Mt Medvednica. This is one of the oldest Marian churches in Croatia.

The church was designed by Viktor Kovačić.

This Gothic church of monumental proportions was built in the 13th century.

Build on Romanesque foundations, finished as a three nave type church makes a unique Gothic whole. The south portal is the most eloquent sculptural achievement in this part of Europe.

This late historicist church was built in 1902.
