Ham in bread
Ingredients for 12 slices:
for the bread dough:
300 g sharp flour
300 g smooth flour
2 teaspoons dry yeast
3 teaspoons sugar
2 teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon sunflower oil
300 ml of lukewarm water
also:
1 kg ham (cooked or semi-dried)
50 g lard
1 egg yolk
Preparation:
bread dough:
Place the dry yeast and sugar in a suitable container, pour in lukewarm water (up to 30 ° C), stir and keep warm to let the yeast foam rise.
Sieve the sharp and smooth flour into a larger bowl, salt, add sunflower oil, add the yeast foam, and knead for 10 minutes to form a uniform dough. Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a clean bowl. Cover with a kitchen towel and let rise for about 1 hour.
wrapping and baking:
Grease a baking sheet and sprinkle with flour.
Take the risen dough out of the bowl and shape it into a round shape.
Place the ham on top and overlap it with the rest of the batter.
Place the ham on the baking sheet, cover with a kitchen towel and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Brush the dough with lard and place in the oven preheated to 190 ° C for approx. 50 minutes.
10 minutes before the end of baking, brush the bread with beaten egg yolk from above.
Serving:
Before cutting, cool. French salad, spring onions and hard-boiled eggs go well with this specialty.
