Tracing the Steps of Hermann Bolle
A light walk through the streets of Zagreb and its Mirogoj Cemetery will reveal the stories about a great architect who had lived in a period when Zagreb was still a small town – Hermann Bolle.
A peek into his private life (believe us, there are stories to tell!) and the iconic works he left behind will tell you more about his birthplace, about why Zagreb Cathedral is so much alike to Cologne Cathedral, how the arcades of Mirogoj withstood the earthquake, but also the story about a mushroom he left behind. This isn’t just a story about an architect, but also a story about how Zagreb, as we know it today, was made.
